What is AI CV analysis?
AI CV analysis is the automated evaluation of application documents by artificial intelligence models. The system reads a CV (PDF, DOCX and other formats), extracts skills, experience and education, then compares them against the requirements of a specific role. The result is a match score, e.g. on a 0-100% scale, together with full reasoning.

Semantic analysis vs keyword matching
Older ATS systems filter CVs by keywords: if the job ad says "JavaScript" and the candidate wrote "JS" or "frontend developer with 5 years of React experience", the system may reject them. This is the main reason classic filters screen out valuable candidates.
Semantic analysis works differently - a language model understands the meaning of skills and the context of experience, not just literal word matches. It will recognise that "leading a team of 6 developers" is a leadership competency even if the word "leadership" never appears in the CV.

- whether the final decision is made by a human - GDPR (art. 22) restricts fully automated decisions with legal effects.
